Romania: President Traian Basescu to pay first visit abroad, to Republic Moldova on Jan. 27.
Bucharest, Jan 20 /Agerpres/ - President Traian Basescu announced on Wednesday that his first official visit abroad at the start of his second term as head of state will be to the Republic of Moldova, on Jan. 27.

'The first visit will be in the Republic of Moldova, in a week', said Traian Basescu, on the occasion of his annual meeting, at Cotroceni Palace, with the heads of foreign diplomatic missions accredited to Bucharest.

In fact, President Traian Basescu also paid his first visit to Chisinau at the start of his first presidential mandate, in 2005. AGERPRES
