Romania: Guarantee agreement for EIB loan to Ford is signed.
Bucharest, Jan 21 /Agerpres/ - Minister of Public Finance Sebastian Vladescu and the Vice-Chairman of the European Investment Bank, Matthias Kolatz-Ahnen, have signed on Thurdsay, at Victoria Palace, a guarantee agreement for the 400 million euros loan given by the European Investment Bank to Ford Co. for its investment project to be implemented at Craiova car plant.

The European Commission authorized in November last year the draft project of a Romanian state guarantee aimed at allowing Ford Romania SA to get a loan from the European Investment Bank.

This loan will co-finance the development project of an engine with reduced emissions of carbon dioxide and the subsequent production of vehicles at Craiova-based Ford plant. AGERPRES
