Romania: Premier Boc urges ministers to prove zero tolerance for fiscal evasion.
Bucharest, Feb 5 /Agerpres/ - Members of the Inter-ministerial committee for combating fiscal evasion have presented on Thursday, to Premier Emil Boc, several fiscal evasion zones, identified in the fields they are in charge of, and the Government's head asked an analysis of these issues and formulation of regulations to this end.

According to the Government Press Office, the Premier reiterated his request addressed to the ministers, to prove zero tolerance for fiscal evasion and urged all institutions involved to have better results in this area, in 2010.

The Executive's head also asked the committee members to materialize in normative acts the identified solutions for the already known fiscal evasion zones as: existence of 'ghost' companies, transfer of social shares or equities of the companies with overdue budget obligations to deceased persons, with handicap or to foreign citizens in non-EU countries, or facilities exploitation of companies undergoing insolvency procedure.

Attending the Inter-ministerial committee for combating fiscal evasion were the following ministers: Sebastian Vladescu, Adriean Videanu, Elena Udrea, Catalin Predoiu, Mihai Seitan, Mihail Dumitru, as well as representatives of the Ministry of Administration and Interior and of the National Agency for Fiscal Administration.
