Romania: PSD and PNL plan to challenge Law on civil servant status.
Bucharest, March 2 /Agerpres/ - Social Democrats and Liberals would challenge the Law on civil servant status at the Constitutional Court, if it is adopted, on the reason of infringing the Chamber of Deputies procedures, announced on Tuesday Social Democratic Party (PSD, in opposition) deputy Valeriu Zgonea. He pointed out that the Social Democrats are working with a Liberal team for the drafting of the notification. As well, according to Zgonea, PSD and PNL are to ask the Chamber of Deputies Standing Bureau to penalize the president of the Administrative Committee, Democrat Liberal Sulfina Barbu for violating the legal procedures. 'We will urge the Chamber's Speaker to penalize with a warning the president of the Administrative Committee', said Valeriu Zgonea. The law on decentralized institutions heads was adopted on Monday, article by article, in the absence of PSD and PNL deputies. AGERPRES [Read the article in ]
