Finance Minister: Romania has never been EU net contributor.
Bucharest, March 5 /Agerpres/ - Romania has never been a net contributor to the European Union (EU), stated on Friday, in a conference on the European funds topic, the Minister of Public Finance, Sebastian Vladescu.

'Romania has been a net beneficiary of European funds all the time and, for a lot of years from now on, Romania is going to be a net beneficiary', underlined Vladescu.

MFP official stressed that the difference between EU transfers to Romania and the country's contribution to the Union is of some 1 percent of the GDP and could even rise to 2 percent of the GDP. AGERPRES
