Bucharest, March 5 /Agerpres/ - President Traian Basescu said again on Friday that he would be a supporter of the Government in optimizing the expenses of state functioning.

'We have gone too far in spending without thinking of the financing sources. I shall be a supporter of the Government in optimizing the expenses of state functioning. We cannot insist on borrowing some other money in 2001-2012 as we would sacrifice Romania's development,' warned Traian Basescu. AGERPRES
